Project Update: Oct. 3

During the week of September 23 through September 29, Herlihy continued their work on the bridge over the Fox River Trail. Of particular note was the installation of the precast concrete bridge beams for the bridge. These were installed on Tuesday, September 27. Some embankment and earthmoving operations continued until they were halted by the rain events.

 In the next week, the contractor will continue their work on the bridge. This involves installation of the plywood falsework and reinforcing steel for the bridge deck. The earthmoving subcontractor will continue his excavating and grading operations after a few days of dry weather. Permanent landscaping will follow shortly thereafter.
