Project Update: Oct. 10

During the week of September 30 through October 6, Herlihy continued to work on the bridge over the Fox River Trail. Most of the falsework (that will support the concrete for the bridge deck) is now in place. Herlihy also installed some storm sewer pipe and structures. The embankment and earthmoving operations resumed with the warm, dry weather. Most of the grading, on both sides of the river, is now complete.

 In the next week, the contractor expects to pour the bridge deck for the trail bridge. This will require installation of the reinforcing steel. Landscaping operations will also start in earnest. Most of the area, east of the Fox River , should be permanently seeded by the end of next week. Finally, the earthmoving subcontractor is expected to complete all of his work west of the Fox River.
